When the site and the type and cost of a structure have been chosen, the architect generally begins work.

The site entails the erratic behaviour of the natural environment, which must be adjusted to the constant physical needs of humans. The type is the generalized form established by society, which must be adjusted to the particular use for which the building is required. The cost entails the economics of land, labour, and materials, which must be adjusted to fit a specific sum.
Thus, planning is the process of particularizing and eventually reconciling environmental, usage, and economic needs. This technique has both cultural and functional significance because when an architect creates a blueprint for any social activity, he or she invariably impacts how that activity is carried out.

OUR PROCESS

Project Development

STEPS

Phase 1 – Schematic Design Phase

During the schematic design phase, you will begin to develop the primary form of the structure. There will be more sketching than formal drawings. You'll probably be doing a lot of back-and-forth with us to nail down the basic shape — it can be much fun!

Phase 2 – Design Development Phase

This is the stage at which you really get into the specifics. Now that you have a fundamental idea, you can start refining it. If the schematic design process yielded numerous design alternatives, the customer must now choose one. During this step, you will be looking at specific materials and assessing them for aesthetic, durability, and cost. This is the stage at which you will choose the materials for worktops or shower tile.

Phase 3 & 4 – Construction Documents

In this phase, we transition from being a service provider to offering a product during this design phase: two complete sets of drawings.

The first set is a set of Permits. In the construction permission application, this set will be forwarded to the relevant authorities.

After the Permit set has been completed and submitted, the Issue for Construction set can be completed. Because the permission procedure may be time-consuming, getting those designs in early can assist move the process forward.

Phase 5 – Construction

We will offer construction control during the construction phase, which generally lasts from the Notice to Proceed until the client moves back home. This is where you ensure that the building is built according to the design requirements.
